Lou Hardy

Lou Hardy is a retired American basketball player .

Life

Hardy was a student on the basketball team at Mount Carmel High School in his hometown of Chicago . He then played until 1977 at the University of Akron in the US state of Ohio . In the 1975/76 season, the 2.04 meter tall player was the university team's top scorer with an average of 15.2 per game. In addition, he came in the same game year to 9.4 rebounds per encounter. He increased the latter value to 9.7 in 1976/77. In 1976/77 Hardy was the team captain. He was a teammate of John Britton at Akron .

From 1977 Hardy played in Germany for the second division BG DEK / Fichte Hagen . In 1980 he rose to the basketball league with Hagen  . In the top German division Hardy was the best basket hunter in the Bundesliga in the 1980/81 season with a total of 633 points. Nevertheless,  BG, supervised by coach Volker Cornelisen , suffered relegation this season.
