Loubna Farage

Loubna Farage (also: Lubna Farage ) is a Gambian lawyer.

Life

Loubna Farage is the daughter of Jamil Ali Farage (died around 2000) and Nazla Diab Farage. She has a sister and three brothers.

Farage studied in the UK at the University of Leeds and completed her Bar Vocational Course at the BPP Law School in London. In 2002 she was admitted to the bar. She is a member of the Lincoln's Inn .

In December 2003 she was also admitted to the bar in The Gambia. In 2004 and 2005 she worked for the lawyer Ida Drammeh and then until the end of 2010 for the Fajara Chambers of Ann Rivington.

From 2007 she was on the board of the newly founded Female Lawyers Association Gambia (FLAG). In 2011 she was co-opted for another term .

Farage also served as legal advisor to Gam Petroleum Storage Facility and was its secretary from 2009 to 2017.

In January 2011, she opened Farage Andrews Law Practice in Fajara with Victoria Jamina Andrews .

On January 16, 2013 she was elected President of the Gambia Bar Association . She succeeded Sheriff Tambedou . She was re-elected on July 23, 2015. On June 9, 2016, she submitted her resignation. The office was taken over by her deputy Salieu Taal .

In December 2017, she testified before the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) about her activities at the Gam Petroleum Storage Facility .
