Louis-Urbain-Aubert de Tourny (* 1695 in Andely , † 1760 in Paris ) was an intendant (high administrative officer) in France in the 18th century, who did particularly well in the urban design of Bordeaux .

As director of the province from 1740–1752, the Marquis of Tourny had the port of Bordeaux rebuilt, the quays of the Garonne fortified and decorated with 300 symmetrically arranged houses. Originally from a middle-class family, Tourny also replaced the fortifications of the city with a green ring road and created new city gates and squares as well as a public garden . The results of his urban planning activities influenced the concepts implemented by Georges-Eugène Haussmann about a century later .
