Louis Bauer (singer)

Louis Bauer (around 1875 in Sägeberg , Holstein - after 1909 ) was a German opera singer ( bass ).

Life

Bauer came to America as a nine-year-old and did not return to Europe until 1894. After he had finished his vocal studies in Vienna , he began his stage career in 1896 at the Hoftheater in Weimar , where he stayed for a year. From there he was hired to Zurich , where he made his debut as "King Heinrich" in "Lohengrin" and worked in his first position until 1902. In the year mentioned, after a successful guest appearance, he joined the Association of City Theater in Cologne . Bauer was lucky enough to represent the first bass player.

His further life is unknown.
