Louis François Marie Auguste Knoepffler (born October 26, 1864 in Zabern ; † December 26, 1918 there ) was a timber merchant, mayor and member of the second chamber of the regional assembly of the Alsace-Lorraine state for the center .

Louis François Marie Auguste Knoepffler was the son of the timber entrepreneur Claude Louis Knoepffler and his wife Marie Céleste Lorrain. He attended elementary school up to the age of 10 and high school in Nancy up to the age of 16 and worked as a timber merchant in Zabern. Knoepffler, who was a Catholic denomination, married Marie Joséphine Schmalholtz on September 28, 1886 in Zabern.

He became a member of the local council and was mayor (later honorary mayor) of Zabern from 1908.

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran as a candidate for the center in the constituency of Zabern-Maursmünster. In the first ballot, 5,642 votes were cast in the constituency out of 6,495 eligible voters. Knoepffler received 2,600 votes , the liberal candidate Gerber 1,770, the Social Democrat Schulenburg 963 and the independent candidate Stieve 222 votes. In the second ballot, Knoepffler prevailed with 3,434 votes against Gerber, who had received 2,458 votes. Louis François Marie Auguste Knoepffler was a member of the state parliament until 1918.
