Louis François Mendy (born March 2, 1999 ) is a Senegalese athlete who specializes in the 110-meter hurdles .

Athletic career

Louis François Mendy gained his first international experience in 2017 at the Junior African Championships in Tlemcen , where he won the silver medal in the hurdle sprint in 13.92 s, with the Senegalese 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 22.34 min, sixth place occupied and did not reach the goal with the 4 x 100 meter relay. The following year he finished fifth at the African Championships in Asaba in 13.94 s. In 2019 he took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time and won the bronze medal there in 14.05 seconds behind the Algerian Amine Bouanani and Oyeniyi Abejoye . He also qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he was eliminated with 13.75 s in the lead .
