Louise Söltel

Louise Söltel , also Louise Söltl (* 1822 ; † September 10, 1887 in Munich ) was a German theater actress and translator .

Life

Söltel was a member of the Munich court theater from 1838 until her death , began her career in the dance school and soon played geniuses and children in Ferdinand Raimund's plays, highly valued in character roles . She was a highly educated lady with an unusually rich knowledge of foreign languages. She translated from Latin and Greek, was fluent in French, Italian and English, as well as Polish, Russian and Spanish, and had a comprehensive literary and musical education.

One of her students was Rosa Lanzlott .
