Basilica of the Jesuit College in Loyola

Loyola (Loiola) is a place between Azpeitia and Azkoitia in the Basque province of Gipuzkoa . The most famous of those from Loyola (Basque spelling: Loiola), St. Ignatius of Loyola , founder of the Jesuit order, was born in the medieval residential tower in the Urola valley .

The old residential tower was rebuilt in the 17th century by the large Jesuit college Loyola , has been restored since 1991 and returned to the reconstructed state of the 15th century. It can be viewed.
