Luca Butera (* 1980 or 1981 in Catania ) is an Italian pop singer .

Live and act

As a child he started playing the guitar . His interest in rap grew at school and later he made small appearances in bars. Produced by the independent Milanese label Blu e Blu , Butera released his first single Wow! (Una star so vera) , which was able to reach the top of the Italian charts after a strong promotion on the Internet. The newcomer ousted Giusy Ferreri from number one for a week . The unexpected success raised doubts about the reliability of the survey of the download charts (which in Italy had only replaced the previous single charts this year).

Butera remained a one-hit wonder . An album was announced, but never came out.
