Lucas Elías Ontivero (born September 9, 1994 in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca ; Province of Catamarca ) is an Argentinian football player .

Career

Youth career

Ontivero began his career in 2004 at the Argentine club San Lorenzo de Almagro . In 2006, Ontivero moved to Real Madrid's youth team at the age of twelve . The winger then played in youth teams from Mérida FC , Tottenham Hotspur and CFC Genoa . In 2011 Ontivero returned to Argentina and played in the youth team of CA Independiente .

Profile career

In 2012 Lucas Ontivero signed with the Uruguayan first division club Centro Atlético Fénix . From his first appearance on April 13, 2013 against Central Español to his last game on November 10, 2013 against Danubio FC , he came to ten league appearances and scored one goal. In December 2013 Ontivero was invited to a trial training session by the Turkish association Galatasaray Istanbul . At Galatasaray he was able to convince and moved to Istanbul in January 2014 . After he was able to convince those responsible, he moved to the traditional club in January 2014 for a transfer fee of 2 million euros and signed a contract until summer 2018.

On the last day of the 2014 summer transfer period, he was loaned to league rivals Gaziantepspor . Ontivero played a league game for Gaziantepspor. Gaziantepspor canceled its loan in January 2015 and Ontivero was loaned to Honvéd Budapest on February 3, 2015 . Ontivero could not prevail in Budapest either and only played one league game.

In September 2015 Ontivero was loaned to the Slovenian first division club NK Olimpija Ljubljana . Here he was able to prevail, was used in eleven league games and scored four goals. At year-end 2015, he returned to Galatasaray and became in January 2016 on loan to the Canadian MLS - Franchise Montreal Impact transferred. Ontivero played his first league game for Montreal Impact on March 6, 2016 in a 3-2 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps . In total, he played 21 games (two goals) in the MLS and two games (no goal) in the Canadian Championship for the club.

On January 6, 2017 Ontivero's contract with Galatasaray Istanbul was terminated. He then joined the CF Universidad de Chile in January 2017 . With the Chileans he has so far (as of February 26, 2017) in four first division games (no goal).
