The Lucas Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It marks the west side of the entrance to Rookery Bay .
The name of the headland first appears on a map of the British Admiralty in 1930. Probable namesake is probably the Lucas -Lotmaschine the British Telegraph Construction and Maintenance Company , which at that time at Tiefenlotmessungen was in use.
