Lucca Lucian (born February 2, 1977 in Vienna ) is an Austrian magician and mentalist as well as a lecturer who appears under his stage name Lucca . He is best known as the vice world champion of mental magic ( FISM , 2015–2018) and as the first European champion of mental magic (FISM, 2017–2020).

Life

Lucca Lucian was born in Vienna and grew up there. After completing his school education at a technical college, he founded his first two companies in 1996 and became Austria's youngest master franchisee in a US franchise system. In 2011 he met his future wife and stage partner Anca Floria Lucian. After their marriage in June 2012 he introduced her to the world of magic, and since then he has been on stage both as a solo artist and together with his wife under the name Anca & Lucca. Anca and Lucca live in Vienna and have two sons.

Artistic career

Lucian discovered his passion for magic at the age of 19. In 1999 he became a member of the Magical Cercle Vienna. He has been a professional magician and lecturer since 2008 and is known around the world for his participation in international magic championships. At the Austrian State Championships in Magic, all of his performances in 2008, 2010 and 2012 were awarded in four different categories of magic.

His most important awards are:

  • 3 × Austrian Master of Magic (Mental Magic) 2012, 2014 & 2016
  • Special award for the "Improvement of a Magical Principle" 2014
  • German runner-up in magic (mental magic) 2014
  • Vice-World Champion of Magic (Mental Magic) FISM 2015–2018
  • European Champion of Magic (Mental Magic) FISM 2017–2020

The Mind-Reading Revolution

In 2013 he and his wife Anca presented their jointly developed version of the demonstration of mind reading and clairvoyance called "The Mind-Reading Revolution", whose improved methods were awarded the special prize for the "improvement of a magical principle ”. An essential feature is the exclusion of privy viewers, secret helpers or the use of hidden electronic aids, which they guarantee by a notarized affidavit with a payment of 1,000,000 US dollars in the event of a violation.

At the FISM World Championships in Magic 2015 in Rimini, Anca & Lucca Lucian became vice world champions in mental magic with “The Mind-Reading Revolution”. In 2017 they were honored as the first European champions of mental magic at the FISM European Championships at the world's largest magician congress in Blackpool (Great Britain).   

Own creations

In addition to “The Mind-Reading Revolution”, Lucian creates many of his illusions himself, such as his mental-magic version of Scrabble “letters”, “numerology” or develops his own versions of the magic square, card pricking and card warp.   

Book and theater show

Lucian's first book, Lucca - Die Kunst des Staunens / Secrets and Revelations of a Magician ( Goldegg Verlag ) was published in June 2017 . The book speaks directly to the reader and conveys the author's perspective on the amazement and wonders of everyday life, which are treated in the love story between his wife Anca and him. This story is also the general plot of the mental-magic theater show "Anca & Lucca - The Mind-Reading Revolution", which was first performed in Vienna in 2017.
