Luciano Vicari

Luciano Vicari (* 1932 in Rome ) is an Italian classical violinist.

Vicari had studied in the violin class of Remy Prìncipe at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. In 1951 he became a founding member of the Roman chamber orchestra I Musici . In 1955 he won third prize at the Second International Paganini Competition in Genoa. The first and second prizes were not awarded in this competition.

Vicari worked as an amateur violin maker and is an absolute expert on this instrument. He also made some very finely crafted bows that were sold by his brother Mimmo.
