Rolf Kanitz (life dates unknown) was a German football player.

Career

Kanitz belonged to TSV 1860 Munich as a midfielder , for whom he initially played the 1941/42 season in the Gauliga Bayern , in one of initially 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as the uniform top division in the German Reich - due to the war 1942 to 1944 in the Gauliga Südbayern and most recently, 1944/45 in the Gauliga Munich / Upper Bavaria , played point games.

He completed the 1942/43 season with his team as Gaumeister Südbayern and took part for the first time in the final round of the German championship . He played the game of the first round , won 3-0 at VfB Stuttgart on May 2, 1943 , as well as the second round of 16 against Kickers Offenbach , won 2-0 on May 16, and the quarter-finals, lost 2-0 on May 30, against the First Vienna FC .

During his club membership, he played five games in 1942 in the competition for the national club cup. He made his debut on July 19, 1942 in a 5-3 first-round victory over SK Rapid Wien . After three more victories, besides the 15: 1 victory in the round of 16 over SG SS Strasbourg , the fourth highest victory to date in this or in the successor competition in which he participated, he reached the final with his team. The final against FC Schalke 04, held on November 15, 1942 in the Berlin Olympic Stadium in front of 80,000 spectators , was won 2-0.

After the end of the Second World War and with the start of the Oberliga Süd , one of three seasons of the now top German division, he played two more seasons for TSV 1860 Munich. As fourth place in the 1946/47 season, he ended his active football career.
