Lucire

Lucire is a fashion magazine that has been on the Internet since 1997 .

It is published from New Zealand , which in 2004 also resulted in a monthly print edition . It is one of the few providers in this sector who, starting on the Internet, also became active in the print sector. Simone Knol edits the web edition , Summer Rayne Oakes the printed edition. Part of the proceeds will be used for charitable purposes , including a. for tsunami victims.

When the name “ Lucire ” was chosen, it was not intended to have a deeper meaning; only later did the editors find out that it was an old Romanian term meaning “glitter” and that there was also a similar word in Spanish (“to stand out”).

A Romanian print edition has existed since May 2005, which is managed by Mirella and Valentin Lapusca. Issues for other countries are also planned.
