Publius Annius Florus
Publius Annius Florus (also Anneus ) was a Roman poet and rhetorician of the 2nd century.
Florus was friends with Emperor Hadrian . A few poems have survived under his name, and he is also considered to be the author of a treatise on the question of whether Virgil was a poet or orator, but only the beginning of which has survived . He is often identified with the historian Florus , who wrote a two-volume history of Rome.
