Lucius Domitius Severus (full name form Lucius Domitius Marci filius Poblilia Severus ) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 1st century AD . Individual stations of his career are known through an inscription. His career is shown in the inscription in ascending order.

The military career of Severus consisted of the usual Tres militiae for a member of the equestrian order , which he probably completed during the reign of Claudius (41-54). He initially took over the management of the Cohors I Campanorum as prefect . He then became Prefect of the Ala I Hispanorum Auriana . The final formed the command as a tribune in the Legio XX Valeria Victrix , which was stationed in the province of Britannia .

After finishing his military career, he returned to his hometown. There he was first IIIIvir and later took over the function of a priest ( Flemish ).

Severus was registered in the Tribus Poblilia . He came from Verona , where the inscription was found. Relatives of Severus were possibly L (ucius) Domitius [] and M (arcus) Domit [] Pob (lilia) Mac [] , which are listed in inscriptions from Verona.
