Lucius Minicius Rufus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lucius Minicius Rufus was a Roman politician living in the 1st century AD .

Rufus was governor ( proconsul ) in the province of Bithynia et Pontus around 82/83 . An inscription shows that he was then governor ( Legatus Augusti pro praetore ) of the province of Gallia Lugdunensis ; he is likely to have held this office from 83/84 to 86/87. A military diploma dated January 9, 88, proves that Rufus 88 was a full consul with Emperor Domitian .
