Lucius Roscius Aelianus Paculus (Consul 157)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lucius Roscius Aelianus Paculus was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD . In the military diplomas his name is given as Lucius Roscius Aelianus , in an inscription as Lucius Roscius Paculus .

Through military diplomas, e.g. Some of them are dated April 23, 157, it is documented that Aelianus Paculus 157 was a suffect consul with Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus ; the two held this office in the second nundinium of the year. The two consuls are also listed in an inscription.

Aelianus Paculus was probably the son of Lucius Roscius Paculus , who is listed in an inscription as consul designatus ; Lucius Roscius Aelianus Paculus , Ordinary Consul in 187, was probably his son.
