Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus (Consul 157)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD .

Through military diplomas , e.g. T. on April 23, 157 are dated, it is documented that Aelianus 157 was together with Lucius Roscius Aelianus Paculus suffect consul ; the two held this office in the second nundinium of the year. The two consuls are also listed in an inscription.

Aelianus was probably the son of Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus Aemilius Tuscillus ; Gnaeus Papirius Aelianus , full consul in 184, was probably his son.
