Ludwig Boltzmann Prize (ÖPG)
The Ludwig Boltzmann Prize is awarded every two years by the Austrian Physical Society for outstanding achievements in the field of theoretical physics . It is named after Ludwig Boltzmann .
The Ludwig Boltzmann Prize was founded in Innsbruck in 1953 and is awarded alternately with the Fritz Kohlrausch Prize as a young talent prize for physicists who are usually no more than 40 years old. The prize is endowed with 2500 euros (as of 2019).
