Ludwig Kostroun

Ludwig Kostroun (born January 25, 1907 in Vienna ; † November 26, 1972 there ) was an Austrian master tailor and politician ( SPÖ ). Kostroun was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1945 to 1971 .

Kostroun visited after the elementary school, the public school and the college. He learned the trade of tailor and subsequently worked as a master tailor. Kostroun was chairman of the clothing workers' union from 1933 to 1934 and was interned in Vienna and in the Wöllersdorf detention center in 1934 . After the end of the Second World War, Kostroun was sworn in as a member of the National Council on December 19, 1945, in which he represented the SPÖ until November 4, 1971. Kostroun was Vice-President of the Federal Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Chairman of the Pension Insurance Institution of Commerce, President of the Free Trade Association Austria and member of the Federal Party Executive of the SPÖ.
