Ludwig Mayer (politician)

Ludwig Mayer (born August 3, 1896 in Fügen , Tyrol ; † February 15, 1969 there ) was an Austrian farmer, businessman and politician ( ÖVP ).

Ludwig Mayer attended elementary school in Fügen and the commercial school in Feldkirch . He worked in agriculture and as a businessman. From 1934 to 1938 he was mayor of Fügen and was also a member of the Tyrolean state parliament . In 1944 and 1945 he was arrested by the Gestapo for political reasons. He was a member of the Austrian National Council as a member of the ÖVP parliamentary group in the fifth legislative period from December 19, 1945 to November 8, 1949.
