history
On January 28, 1953, the company sports community "Motor" was founded in Ludwigsfelde, emerging from the sports community "Aufbau". In 1958 the handball section was added.
On July 11, 1990, due to a lack of sponsors, an independent association was founded, SG Motor Ludwigsfelder e. V.
In 1997 the handball division spun off from SG Motor Ludwigsfelde and founded the Ludwigsfelder Handballclub e. V. The club reached the highest league in Brandenburg.
Ludwigsfelder HC currently has two men's teams and five youth teams as well as a recreational sports group. The number of members is 202 (as of September 10, 2019). 109 of them are adults and 93 are children.
Until the completion of the Kaufland property with an integrated sports hall , the first men's team had to play their home games in Rangsdorf in the Erwin-Behnke sports hall. In Ludwigsfelde there was no suitable hall for playing in national classes.
