The Austrian Company Sports Association (ÖBSV) is the umbrella organization of the state company sports associations in Austria with its headquarters in Vienna. The ÖBSV is an autonomous, independent institution and an extraordinary member of the Austrian federal sports organization (Sport Austria). The association is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Art, Culture, Public Service and Sport , as well as by the social partners ( Austrian Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Labor ).

history

The Austrian Company Sports Association (ÖBSV) was founded on April 28, 1970. Since 2014, the General Secretary of the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) and Member of the National Council, Karlheinz Kopf, has been President of the Austrian Company Sports Association. Under Karlheinz Kopf, the European company sports games were held in Salzburg in 2019 with over 7,000 company athletes from all over Europe.

aims

The ÖBSV pursues the goal of promoting the value of healthy sport and sufficient exercise in everyday working life and positively promoting cooperation in the company through joint sport and exercise programs. The ÖBSV is a competence center for company sports. Through the free advice on exercise offers for Austrian companies, the organization of Austrian company sports championships in various individual, nature and team sports, the development and use of nudging tools and the organization of an annual international specialist conference in the field of company sport and exercise in the working environment should contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
