Ministry of Aviation

An aviation ministry is a ministry that deals with the establishment or coordination of a state's aviation . Its responsibilities can relate to military aviation as well as civil aviation .

There were independent aviation ministries mainly in the interwar period and during the Second World War , including the British Air Ministry (1918–1964), later in Great Britain also the Ministry of Aviation (1959–1967), in Italy the Ministero dell'aeronautica , in France the Ministère de l'Air (1928–1947) and, in National Socialist Germany, the Reich Aviation Ministry (1933–1945).
