Air conduction (physiology)

In physiology, air conduction describes the transmission of sound through the air ( airborne sound ).

Usually the term is used to refer to the diagnosis or differential diagnosis of hearing impairment . In the case of air conduction, in contrast to bone conduction, sound travels via the outer , middle and inner ear .

The air conduction can be measured using audiometry , an audiogram is created.
