Luis Carlos Ugalde

Luis Carlos Ugalde (* 1966 in Mexico City ) is the current president of the Mexican electoral authority .

Life

Luis Carlos Ugalde holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México , as well as a master's degree in administrative sciences and a doctorate in political science (both from Columbia University ).

He later worked as a lecturer at several universities, such as the CIDE , the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey , Harvard , Georgetown University , and the American University.

Today he is president of the Mexican electoral authority with the consent of the PRI and PAN parties , but under protest from the PRD .
