Luis Oliver Albesa

Luis Oliver Albesa is considered an extremely controversial Spanish businessman from Zaragoza , Navarre and is well known in the world of football. After dubious and sometimes criminally-relevant business activities, which u. a. based on the acquisition of companies in a critical financial situation, Luis Oliver was president of the football club Deportivo Xerez from 1997 to 2002 .

In the 2001/2002 season, the Andalusian club played in the second Spanish league with the German Bernd Schuster as coach and narrowly missed promotion to the Primera División . Due to the precarious financial situation, the club was unable to pay the players' salaries at the time.

From 2010 Luis Oliver was a sports advisor on the board of Betis Sevilla in the second Spanish division, but only for a short time, because he is missing again on the archive page from February 2011.
