Luis Quintais
Luis Fernando Gomes da Silva Quintais (born August 19, 1968 in Vila Luso ) is a Portuguese anthropologist and poet.
Life
He was born in Angola and moved with his family to Portugal in 1975 after Angola gained independence. He studied in Lisbon and has worked in Coimbra since 2005 as Professor of Anthropology at the University of Coimbra, Faculdade de Ciencias e Technologia.
His first volume of poetry was published in 1995 under the title "A imprecisa melancolia".
A book has been translated into Spanish.
The work has melancholy and pessimistic features. The author hopes to make people a little better with his poetry. Truth and beauty are its main themes.
