Luiz Henrique da Silveira (born February 25, 1940 in Blumenau , † May 10, 2015 in Joinville ) was a Brazilian lawyer and politician of the party of the Brazilian Democratic Movement .

He had been Mayor of Joinville before becoming governor of Santa Catarina from January 1, 2003 to April 9, 2006 . He resigned so that he could fully concentrate on campaigning for his re-election in October 2006. He actually succeeded in becoming governor of the Brazilian state for the second time on January 1, 2007 with a majority of 52.7% of the valid votes cast. However, his election was challenged by a coalition of opposition parties who accused him of taking advantage of unjustified advantages and backing from the government of the state of Santa Catarina. During his resignation from office, his former deputy Eduardo Pinho Moreira was in charge of official business.
