Lukas Georg Gärtner (born January 25, 1995 in Kempen ) is a German ice hockey player .

Career

The defender Lukas Gärtner began his career in the youth department of the Krefelder EV and played in the school league as well as in the DNL . During the 2011/12 season, Gärtner played in the youth division of the Hanover Indians . Two years later, Gärtner took part in a training camp for the NHL club Phoenix Coyotes . In 2014, Gärtner completed another international match for the German U-20 national team.

For the 2014/15 season, Lukas Gärtner moved to the Löwen Frankfurt , for which he played 28 games in the DEL 2 . At the end of the season, Gärtner switched to Füchsen Duisburg , with whom he became champions of the Oberliga Nord in the 2015/16 season. At the end of the season he moved on to league rivals Crocodiles Hamburg . He stayed there for a year and a half before joining league competitor EHC Timmendorfer Strand during the 2017/18 season.

This was followed by one-year guest appearances at the top division Rostock Piranhas and Füchse Duisburg. After the Duisburg team withdrew from the league after the 2019/20 season, Gärtner switched to the league promoted Herford EV .
