Lukas Spengler (born September 16, 1994 in Thayngen ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2011 Lukas Spengler became Swiss vice-champion in the junior road race, the following year he finished third in the individual time trial . Also in 2012 he started for the first time at the Road World Championships . Since then he has been nominated several times at both world and European championships. In 2014, he finished second in the road race and fourth in the time trial at the national U23 championship.

In 2015, Spengler had his greatest success to date when he won the U23 edition of Paris-Roubaix , and he was third in the Swiss U23 championship in road racing. The following year he was part of the team that won the time trial of the Berlin Tour . In 2016 he was U23 road racing champion. The following year he received a contract with WB Veranclassic Aqua Protect , later Wallonie-Bruxelles . In the same year he was third in the Bern Tour . In 2019 he announced his retirement from cycling.

Lukas Spengler completed his training as a two-wheel mechanic and serves as a sports soldier .
