Lukestar was a Norwegian rock band from Oslo .

biography

In 2002 the band released their first EP and two years later the LP Alpine Unit . Their breakthrough came in 2008 with the album Lake Toba , which was awarded a Spellemannprisen , the highest Norwegian music award, for rock album of the year. The album was then released in Germany, the USA and Japan and the band made appearances in many countries. However, the great success did not materialize and the album did not enter the Norwegian charts. Unlike their third album Taiga , with which Lukestar made it to number 22 in the Norwegian album charts. However, they decided to dissolve only a little later and gave their farewell concerts at the end of August 2012.

After leaving the band, singer Truls Heggero started a solo career.
