Lundu Balong Languages

The Lundu Balong languages are a language group within Guthrie Zone A of the Bantu languages . It is as Zone A10 classified and contains as subgroups the Ngoe languages and the language Oroko the only Oroko language.

The eight individual languages ​​contained in the Lundu-Balong language group are spoken by around 300,000 people in Cameroon .

The individual languages ​​are:

• Bonkeng , about 2980 speakers
• Nkongho , approx. 2230 speakers
• Ngoe languages:
  • Akoose , around 100,000 speakers
  • Bafaw-Balong , about 8,400 speakers
  • Bakaka , around 30,000 speakers
  • Bassossi , about 5000 speakers
  • Mbo , around 45,000 speakers
• Oroko languages:
  • Oroko , around 106,000 speakers
