Lustenau dialect

The Lustenau dialect (also Lustenau dialect ) is a dialect of the Alemannic language group .

The Lustenau dialect falls under the Vorarlberg dialects especially due to the widespread use of triphthongs (gliding sounds from three vowels, e.g. ouo, äuo, eio), the use of "i" for the suffixes "ing", "ig", or . "li" for "lein" and "lich", as well as by the often inserted "n" or "m" after the vowels "u" or "ü", the frequent pronunciation of "double S" like soft "ch" and through old terms used exclusively in Lustenau.
