The Luther Church in Lichtental , a district of Baden-Baden , is a Protestant church building by the architect Martin Elsaesser from 1907.

The brightly plastered exterior is dominated by two towers with copper roofs that rise from a crossbar inserted between the nave and the apse . The nave is closed by a mighty mansard roof covered with red tiles, into which the one-sided, right transverse arm cuts, which has no counterpart on the left, so that an asymmetrical, L-shaped system is created. In front of the gable facade is an entrance hall, which is divided into two by a polygonal staircase in the middle of the facade. The interior is a single hall with side walls, which is vaulted by a barrel vault with a basket arch cross-section and ends in a low apse. The short transverse arm goes off to the right, and there is a gallery on the entrance side. A rectory belongs to the entire complex.

After a competition in 1905, in which Elsaesser prevailed against 161 competitors, the building was built in 1906/07 as the architect's first church building, with which he laid the foundation for his work in this field. The interior was designed in 1910 with ornamental wall paintings and paintings by Käte Schaller-Härlin ("The six works of mercy") and Eduard Pfennig ("The raising of the daughter of Jairus"). These were painted over in 1954 and exposed again in 1988. Schaller-Härlin also created the glass windows; the sculptures are by Karl Albiker .
