Lutz Rainer Reuter

Lutz Rainer Reuter (born December 17, 1943 in Kiel ) is a German educational scientist and educational policy researcher. From 2005 to 2009 he was Vice President of the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg.

Life

Lutz Rainer Reuter is the grandson of Junkers Otto Reuter's aircraft designer .

He studied law and economics at the Universities of Kiel and Tübingen and political, educational sciences and sociology at the University of Konstanz . In 1972 he received his doctorate in Constance. He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Siegen and as a professor in Bremen and Duisburg. Reuter was a professor of educational science, in particular educational policy research at the Helmut Schmidt University (University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg), and from 2005 to 2009 he was also vice president of this university. From 1983 to 1985 and from 1999 to 2001 he also served as Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Helmut Schmidt University .

1986 to 1988 and 1991/92 Reuter was a visiting professor at Northwestern University Evanston and Chicago. He was also visiting professor at the PH Neubrandenburg (1990/91), the University of Maputo in Mozambique (1993/94/96 and 2000) and the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa (2001).

Lutz Rainer Reuter is an honorary professor at the Nanking University of Technology in China.
