Lux Aeterna ( Latin Lux Æterna , 'eternal light' ) is a composition by Clint Mansell , the leitmotif of the film Requiem for a Dream from 2000 and the penultimate piece of the accompanying soundtrack.
Further use
The piece was used in popular culture outside of the film, especially in film teasers such as Sunshine and Waking Madison , as well as numerous remixes and reinterpretations by other producers.
Orchestral version
With choir and full orchestra for the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers , arranged by Simone Benyacar, Daniel Nielsen and Veigar Margeirsson. The orchestral version appeared on the Requiem for a Tower album by Corner Stone Cues.
