Lykonpolis
Lykonpolis ( ancient Greek Λύκων πόλις, "city of the Lycians") was the name of two places in ancient Egypt:
- a city on the western bank of the Nile, in Egyptian Z3w.t ("guard"); today Asyut
- a place known only from the Ptolemaic period, called Šk3m in Egyptian ; see Lykonpolis (Ptolemies)
