Lykonpolis (Ptolemies)

Lykonpolis (Ta-Resat-Schekan; The Station and Guard ) is the name of a place in Ancient Egypt that is only attested to at the time of the Ptolemies . It was said to be in the inner Nile Delta , between Busiris , Sebennytos and Mendes . The demotic name Šk3n is recorded on the Rosette stone .

Under Pharaoh Ptolemy IV , a revolt of the native Egyptians broke out in Lykonpolis, which only began in 197 BC. BC could be knocked down.
