Reviews

Peter Stack wrote in the April 17, 1998 San Francisco Chronicle that Christopher Walken could carry a film even when he was tied up in a chair. The black comedy is "incredibly captivating" ("weirdly engaging"). The script is "clever", but also "implausible".

“Acceptable entertainment in a film photographed in subtle tones, whose young actors hardly gain any profile. With carefully considered visual effects, sophisticated parallel montages and touches of humor, friends of the genre will be satisfied despite some brutal slip-ups. "

“TV director Peter O'Fallon is following in Tarantino's footsteps without quite reaching his class. That is why this nasty chamber play remained his only feature film. Nevertheless, the work delights with black humor and a wicked Christopher Walken. Conclusion: Nervous psychological duel full of cool twists. "
