history

The MÁV left 40 copies of this type in Budapest from 1908 to 1909 . They received the category designation IIIs and the numbers 3601-3640. From 1911 they were 322.001-040.

The In type boiler was chosen , from which the four-cylinder composite system and the cylinder dimensions were also adopted. There is a certain similarity to the kkStB 110 , but the running properties were better because of the Adams-Webb system running axles . The single-rail crosshead guidance tried out here was later deviated in favor of the double-rail.

The vehicles were mainly used on the Budapest - Pozsony - Marchegg route and on the Waagtalbahn . After 1918 there were 13 locomotives at ČSD in Czechoslovakia. 12 of them were in use as 365.201 to 365.212, two of them until August 1960. Also after 1918, 8 locomotives went to Romania, these were retired by 1937. At MÁV, the 322 was retired by 1961.
