The Märker Group is a group of companies active in the cement industry. The company's headquarters are in Harburg (Swabia) in the Donau-Ries district in Bavaria . It employs around 600 people , including company investments. The companies in the group are active in the cement, concrete , lime , gravel and environmental technology sectors.

history

Company founder August Märker founded a stone and cement factory in Harburg in 1889, which was expanded in the following decades to include a steam brick and a Portland cement factory. The company has been operating as Märker Zementwerk GmbH since 1960. Due to a number of acquisitions, Märker Holding GmbH was founded in 1994.

The group has at various locations in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg:

  • 2 lime works
  • 2 cement plants

The headquarters and the main production facility are located in the south-east of Harburg around the train station.

Manzbeton in Filderstadt belonged to the Märker Group from 2012-2017.
