Mårten Mickos
Mårten Gustaf Mickos (born November 6, 1962 in Espoo , Finland ) was Senior Vice President of Sun Microsystems and headed the Sun Database Group there until 2009. Before that, until the takeover by Sun, which was completed in February 2008, he was CEO of the Swedish company MySQL AB . He has held this post since January 2001. Prior to MySQL, Mårten was Mickos CEO at MatchON Sports .
Mickos holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology in Finland .
