The Mönsterås nya Järnvägsaktiebolag (MAJ) was a Swedish corporation .
history
After the Mönsterås – Åseda Järnvägsaktiebolag had opened the 27-kilometer section between Sandbäckshult and Alsterbro of the Mönsterås – Växjö railway on January 22, 1905 , it ran into financial difficulties and was dissolved.
On March 15, 1910, Kalmar läns östra järnvägsaktiebola (KBJ) took over Mönsterås – Åseda Järnvägsaktiebolag and founded the successor company Mönsterås nya Järnvägsaktiebolag as a subsidiary with the same initials MÅ to continue building the line on April 25, 1910 in Mönsterås .
The Kalmar läns östra järnvägsaktiebolag and with it the subsidiary Mönsterås nya Järnvägsaktiebolag were on 1 July 1940, the scope of the general railway nationalization in Sweden by the State and Statens Järnvägar integrated.
