The Mönsterås-Åseda Järnvägsaktiebolag (MAJ) was a Swedish corporation .

The company was on May 17, 1900 in Mönsterås established to the railway Mönsterås-Växjö to plan and build. After the 27-kilometer section between Sandbäckshult and Alsterbro was opened on January 22, 1905, the company ran into financial difficulties. The bankruptcy petition resolved by the general meeting on August 2, 1905 was rejected on September 14. Several auction dates were unsuccessful.

It was not until March 15, 1910 that Kalmar läns Östra järnvägsaktiebolag (KBJ) took over the company and founded the successor company Mönsterås nya Järnvägsaktiebolag with the same initials MÅJ to continue building the line .
