The Música Criolla , also canción Criolla , is a genre of Peruvian music, shaped by influences from African, European (Spanish) and Andean music . The name is based on the term criolla and reflects the music from the coast of Peru. The Música Criolla is a socially integrative element of the Peruvian nation. A style of Música Criolla is the Marinera , a music and dance style from the north coast of Peru.
