Georg Heinrich Noell

Georg Heinrich Noell (* 1836 , † 1895 ) was a German mechanical engineering - entrepreneurs .

Life

Born as the son of the blacksmith and wagon manufacturer Johann Matthias Noell (1800–1862 / 1863), Georg Heinrich Noell studied mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Polytechnic and became a member of the Corps Saxonia Karlsruhe . In 1859 he took over his father's railway wagon factory in Würzburg , which he had founded in 1826, a forge built in 1824 with a focus on car repairs , which he ran together with his uncle Georg Heinrich David Noell (1809–1874). In 1873 he converted the company into a stock corporation . In 1881 he withdrew from the company and in 1882 or 1883 founded the Georg Noell & Co. machine and railway supplies factory and bridge construction company as a successor company in Würzburg . After his death, this family-owned company was continued.
