The Altenhof mill quarry is a mica slate quarry in Altenhof (municipality of Schönberg) , Lower Austria.

The millstone quarry to the east of the village is classified in the 9th century, at the time when there was a Slavic prince's seat on the wooden meadow in Gars-Thunau. Because there was found disc-shaped millstones made of mica schist that came from the mill quarry.

Millstones were often made from mica slate in the Middle Ages because they are hard and rarely had to be sharpened, but because of their slate composition they were easy to work with. In the Altenhof millstone quarry, there are recesses that were removed from millstone blanks and millstones that were only half cut from the granite slate.
